Job Description: Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
Arctic Kingdom Polar Expeditions is currently seeking a full time Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant.
• Process full cycle accounts payable and receivable
o Accounts Payable and Receivable ( including but not limited to preparing cheques, coding and posting invoices, preparing billing, submitting bank deposits, and completing journal entries)
o Reconcile credit card transactions/ expense reports & petty cash
o Issue / track Purchase Orders
o Bank reconciliation on a monthly basis
o Process Payroll and Payroll Remittance, issue T4’s & ROE’s
• Complete and process WSIB, HST, EHT remittances
• Monitor company inbox daily, forward emails and faxes to appropriate staff & file
• Assist with expedition planning, bookings & inventory
• Process mail, assist with customer requests and handle all shipping & receiving
• Monitor office equipment and order office supplies
• Liaise with staff and support them in bookkeeping / administrative needs related to their projects



Qualifications:
• A minimum two years of bookkeeping experience
• QuickBooks experience a must
• Post Secondary Accounting or Bookkeeping certification is an asset
• Competence in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Independent worker, ability to work with little or no supervision
• Car and valid driver’s license
• Fluency in French would be considered a strong asset
